She commended the Team for their efforts towards eradicating Malaria in Nigeria through the distribution of the long lasting Insecticidal Nets, and called on the people of the State to collaborate with the Government to ensure that the exercise is successful.
Meanwhile, on her part, a representative of the Federal Ministry of Health, Miss Chidima Njoku announced that the Exercise would commence on Saturday, October 14, 2017 and end on October 22, 2017.
She explained that the Mobilisers would go from house to house to Register and issue Net Cards to individuals for the free Nets, adding that 100% ownership and 80% usage of the long lasting Insecticidal Mosquito Nets are expected in the State at the end of the exercise.
Miss Njoku solicited the State Ministry’s support for the actualisation of the Exercise, pointing out that the last Exercise took place five years ago, and the Nets distributed in 2012 must have torn or gone bad since then.
